What Is a Metabolic Health & Longevity Practice?
A Metabolic Health & Longevity Practice helps you improve the way your body manages Energy, Weight, Blood Sugar, Hormones, and Overall Health — not just for a short period, but for the long run. At Standard, we focus on: Living Better — Not Just Living Longer. Good health isn’t just about years. It’s about how well you live those years — having Energy, Mental Clarity, Balance, and Strength as you age.
Is this just a weight loss program?
No. Standard is a metabolic health and longevity practice. While weight optimization is a core focus, the underlying goal is improving cardiometabolic function, reducing disease risk, and enhancing long-term quality of life. Weight loss may be one outcome, but it's not the only metric we track.
Do you replace my primary care provider?
Absolutely not. Standard works alongside your PCP, not in place of them. We provide specialized metabolic oversight and coordinate with your existing care team to ensure seamless, collaborative treatment.
How is medication used at Standard?
Prescription medication is one clinical tool in a three-tool protocol — used when clinically appropriate based on your lab results and clinical profile. It is never prescribed in isolation. At Standard, medication complements nutrition and resistance training. It does not replace them.
Is this covered by insurance?
Standard operates on a concierge model. Services are not billed through insurance. This allows us to provide the level of time, attention, and clinical oversight that insurance-based models typically cannot support. Transparent pricing is discussed during your consultation.
What does 'concierge' mean in this context?
It means direct, ongoing access to your clinician with weekly check-ins, monthly touchpoints, comprehensive lab monitoring, and personalized treatment plans — without the constraints of high-volume insurance-based practice. You receive dedicated clinical attention.
Are labs included?
The $149 Consultation & Lab Fee covers your baseline lab draw at the first visit. If you choose to move forward after reviewing your results, the $149 is credited toward your first monthly installment — you are not paying for labs twice. 6-month plans include a follow-up lab draw at month 6. Month-to-month clients are billed at cost when clinically indicated. No markup.
What happens after the Discovery Call?
If the call confirms Standard is the right fit, the next step is the Consultation & Lab Visit. The $149 Consultation & Lab Fee is collected at that visit. Labs come back within approximately 48 hours. Once results are reviewed and the protocol is built, you decide whether to move forward. The first monthly installment is collected at that point — with the $149 credited toward it. Nothing beyond the Consultation & Lab Fee is collected until you have seen your labs and chosen to proceed.
How long should I expect to commit?
Prescription medication is one clinical tool in a three-tool protocol — used when clinically appropriate based on your lab results and clinical profile. It is never prescribed in isolation. At Standard, medication complements nutrition and resistance training. It does not replace them.
Is this available outside New York State?
Currently, Standard serves clients in New York State only. As the practice grows, expansion to additional states may be considered.
